HOW LONG? (2021)
How long can you prevent all human beings from living their lives in order to save some human lives?
I thought I understood the world.
But now I ask myself:
How can it be that such fundamental, self-evident and generally accessible truths are turned into their opposite in such a short time and then spread globally in their new meaning without an outcry going through society?
How does the immune system work? (We all have to wear masks.)
What is solidarity? (We all have to isolate ourselves to protect others.)
What does social mean? (We all have to communicate digitally.)
And so on...
It is worth thinking about two terms in these contexts:
fear and power.
